A Multimillion-Euro Boost for Orbital Security

On July 20, 2026, the Dutch Research Council (NWO) announced a major financial injection aimed at securing Earth’s orbit and bolstering the space technology sector of the Netherlands [2][3]. The Mechanics of RSO TraFFIC: Sensors and Algorithms

To protect active payloads and mitigate the risks of collisions, RSO TraFFIC is designing a multi-layered technological solution [1][4]. This high-fidelity data will then be processed using novel data fusion and statistical inference algorithms [1].
