Houston, Sunday, 14 September 2025.
Dutch life sciences firms will explore Texas’s MedTech opportunities from October 6-10, 2025, aiming to expand in digital health sectors through strategic partnerships with local institutions.
Strategic Mission to Texas
A delegation of Dutch life sciences and health companies will visit Texas from October 6 to 10, 2025, as part of a strategic mission organized by TMC and Health~Holland. The goal is to explore innovative opportunities in the MedTech and digital health sectors. This mission is set to connect Dutch organizations with Texas’s robust ecosystem, which includes prestigious institutions such as the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and MD Anderson Cancer Center [1].
Why Texas?
Texas is quickly emerging as a global hub for MedTech and digital health innovation. Its supportive ecosystem, illustrated by institutions like the Texas Medical Center and the Texas eHealth Agency, along with a thriving startup scene, makes it an attractive destination for Dutch Life Sciences and Health (LSH) companies [1][4]. The TMC Netherlands BioBridge, launched in 2023, exemplifies this potential by serving as a strategic partnership that facilitates Dutch entrepreneurs, researchers, and clinicians’ access to the U.S. market [1][4].
Program Highlights
The program, organized by the Netherlands Business Support Office in Houston, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and Task Force Health Care, will include site visits to private hospitals and key health networks. Participants will gain insights into what TMC has to offer to accelerate their growth in the U.S. market. Networking meetings will also be essential components of the mission, providing opportunities to develop sustainable business relationships [1][4].
Participation and Costs
The participation fee for this mission is €500 per organization, excluding VAT. This fee covers participation in the collective program, site visits, networking events, and local support by the organizing parties. However, travel and accommodation costs, as well as individual expenses, are not included [1][4].
