Vlaanderen, Monday, 29 July 2024.
CrossRoads opens applications for its third subsidy round, supporting innovative projects in Flanders and South Netherlands. The program aims to tackle societal challenges through cross-border collaboration, offering up to €250,000 per project.

Application Timeline and Eligibility

The application window for the third round of CrossRoads subsidies will be open from 26 August 2024 to 4 October 2024. Companies in Flanders and South Netherlands can submit their proposals during this period. The initiative is designed to support innovative projects that address societal challenges, encouraging cross-border collaboration between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from these regions. Each project must involve at least one SME from Flanders and one from South Netherlands to qualify for consideration.

Funding Details and Criteria

The subsidy program offers a funding rate of 50% of the project costs, with a maximum grant of €250,000 per project. After the submission deadline, the applications will be evaluated based on predefined criteria. The projects that best meet these criteria will be awarded the subsidy. The total subsidization budget for this call will be announced at the end of June 2024. This financial support aims to stimulate product and process innovations that contribute to societal transitions, including sustainable entrepreneurship, renewable energy, Industry 4.0, and health.

Info Session and Support

To help potential applicants navigate the application process, CrossRoads will host an online information session on 21 June 2024. During this session, representatives from VLAIO and InnovationQuarter will provide detailed insights into the types of projects eligible for funding, the step-by-step application process, and the support available through the program. Additionally, Yves Boonen from Plinius Labs will share his experience with the CrossRoads project and the application journey.

How to Participate

Interested companies can register for the online info session via the provided link. For those who wish to discuss their project ideas one-on-one or seek cross-border partners, personal consultations can be arranged by indicating this preference on the registration form. An advisor from CrossRoads will then contact the interested parties to provide tailored guidance and support. The initiative is supported by several regional and international bodies, including the European Union, Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland, and multiple provincial governments and development agencies.
