2024-06-18 data

The Enterprise Europe Network, European Digital Innovation Hub, and Utrecht University of Applied Sciences are hosting a workshop to help Dutch companies explore, test, and expand AI ideas with expert guidance.

The Workshop’s Objective

The AI ideation workshop aims to provide a structured platform where companies can delve into the potentials of artificial intelligence (AI) for their business operations. By collaborating with experts, participants will not only gain foundational knowledge about AI but also engage in hands-on activities to explore and refine their AI concepts. The ultimate goal is to equip businesses with practical AI strategies they can implement to enhance their operational efficiency and innovation capabilities.

Key Facilitators and Their Roles

Mark Scholten from Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and Joop Snijder from Aigency will lead the workshop. Their expertise in AI and practical business applications ensures that participants receive tailored advice and insights. They will guide attendees through brainstorming sessions, feasibility assessments, and the development of actionable AI plans. This collaborative environment aims to foster innovative thinking and practical application.

Workshop Structure and Activities

The workshop is divided into several key segments. Initially, participants will receive an introduction to the basic principles of AI, accompanied by real-world examples of AI applications in businesses. Following this, attendees will brainstorm potential AI uses within their own companies, focusing on processes that could benefit the most from AI integration. Finally, the most viable ideas will be selected and developed into detailed implementation plans, considering factors such as feasibility, impact, and added value.

Benefits of AI Integration

Integrating AI into business processes can offer numerous advantages. For instance, AI can automate routine tasks, such as handling customer service emails, which increases efficiency and reduces operational costs. Additionally, AI can predict maintenance needs for machinery, thereby preventing costly downtime. By participating in the workshop, companies will learn how to harness these benefits, potentially leading to significant improvements in productivity and innovation.

Who Should Attend?

The workshop is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) interested in leveraging AI to enhance their business operations. It is particularly beneficial for those without prior knowledge of AI or ICT, as the workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to these concepts. Both smaller firms and larger SMEs with more complex organizational structures are encouraged to participate. The inclusive nature of the workshop ensures that all attendees, regardless of their prior experience, can gain valuable insights.

Registration and Participation

Participation in the workshop is free, and each company can send one or two representatives. However, space is limited to 12 companies, so early registration is recommended. Interested participants can register through the European Digital Innovation Hub Northwest’s online form. The workshop also includes catering, providing a conducive environment for networking and idea exchange among participants.
