The New MI325X Accelerator

AMD’s CEO, Lisa Su, introduced the MI325X accelerator at the Computex technology trade show. Performance and Future Releases

AMD plans to release the MI350 series in 2025, which promises to deliver 35 times better performance in inference tasks compared to the current MI300 series. These chips, featuring Zen 5 architecture and an RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU, are designed to handle generative AI and machine learning workloads. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, with 12 CPU cores and 16 GPU cores, promises up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS), outpacing competitors like Qualcomm and Intel.
