The successful launch of AiSalon in the Netherlands is the result of a collaborative effort between various entities. The community was founded by Jeffrey D. Abbot of Blitzscaling Ventures, based in San Francisco. Abbot met Jasper Wognum, the CEO of BrainCreators, at a Techleap event in July 2023, which led to the inception of AiSalon. This partnership aims to create a thriving AI ecosystem by organizing monthly events that bring together AI enthusiasts and professionals in Amsterdam.

AiSalon Amsterdam hosts monthly events at the BrainCreators office in Amsterdam. These events feature a range of activities, including speaker sessions, AI demonstrations, and networking opportunities. The third edition, scheduled for June 20, 2024, will feature Daniel Gebler, CTO of Picnic, as a speaker. Sponsors for this event include KPN, Twintos, and MaxCredible. These gatherings aim to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the AI community.
A Global Network
AiSalon is not limited to the Netherlands. It has 19 chapters worldwide, each dedicated to exploring AI’s potential and fostering innovation. For example, AiSalon Tokyo recently held an event on June 12, 2024, focusing on AI governance and collaboration among founders, builders, investors, and corporate partners. These global chapters work in tandem to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to AI development.

Beyond technical advancements, AiSalon also places a strong emphasis on creative applications of AI. The AI Salon, a subset of AiSalon, focuses on leveraging AI for creative expression.
