Seoul, Tuesday, 4 February 2025.
The Netherlands Battery Coalition highlights its latest advancements at InterBattery 2025 in Seoul, reinforcing the country’s leadership in sustainable battery technology on a global stage.

Global Exhibition Scale and Impact

The prestigious InterBattery 2025 exhibition, scheduled for March 5-7 at COEX in Seoul, Korea, is set to be a landmark event in the battery technology sector. With more than 600 participating companies and an anticipated attendance of 80,000 visitors [1], this exhibition represents one of the largest gatherings of battery technology innovators. The event is being organized under the authority of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, with support from the Korea Battery Industry Association (KBIA), COEX, and KOTRA [1].

Dutch Innovation Hub

The Netherlands Pavilion, strategically located in Hall A at booth A640 [1], will serve as a central hub for Dutch battery technology excellence. The delegation includes prominent private sector leaders such as CarbonX, DSPA, E-magy, Powall, SCM, and TNO, alongside public entities including the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Province of Noord Brabant [1]. Bronkhorst will maintain its own dedicated exhibition space, highlighting the depth of Dutch technological capabilities [1].

International Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange

A highlight of the Dutch presence will be the Netherlands Battery Technology Seminar, scheduled for March 5 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the COEX Grand Ballroom [1]. This seminar will bring together Dutch and Korean experts to discuss industry trends and explore R&D collaboration opportunities. The event’s program includes targeted business matching sessions designed to foster partnerships between Dutch and Korean companies [1].

Industry Leadership and Future Prospects

The Battery Competence Cluster-NL (BCC-NL), supported by founding partners RAI Automotive Industry NL, Brainport Development, Oost NL, and ARN [1], demonstrates the Netherlands’ commitment to advancing battery technology. Their participation at InterBattery 2025 is particularly significant as it coincides with global efforts to accelerate sustainable energy solutions. The delegation will participate in high-profile networking events, including the InterBattery Opening Ceremony, VIP Tour, and Networking Night [1], strengthening international ties in the battery technology sector.
