Dutch Cybersecurity Leaders Forge Stronger U.S. Partnerships
New York, Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
A Dutch cybersecurity delegation visited the U.S. to enhance transatlantic partnerships, focusing on innovative collaboration to counter sophisticated cyber threats.
Strengthening Transatlantic Cybersecurity Ties
Last week, a delegation of Dutch cybersecurity founders and operators embarked on a mission to the United States, visiting key locations in Boston, New Jersey, and New York. This initiative, organized by InnovationQuarter, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the USA, and the Netherlands Innovation Network, was part of the Partners for International Business (PIB) Cybersecurity program. The mission aimed to fortify transatlantic security ties and explore opportunities for collaboration and innovation in cybersecurity, a critical area as threats become increasingly sophisticated [1][2].
Engaging with U.S. Counterparts
During the mission, the Dutch delegation, which included companies such as VirtualMetric, Passguard, and ON2IT Cybersecurity, engaged in high-level exchanges and strategic meetings with public and private partners across the three states. These interactions included dialogues with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) responsible for critical infrastructure, as well as representatives from academic institutions and financial organizations. The visits underscored the shared commitment to advancing cyber resilience and highlighted the importance of collaborative defense strategies [1][3].
Key Partners and Activities
The mission featured ecosystem visits and strategic meetings supported by the Netherlands Innovation Network in Boston and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York. In Boston, participants engaged with entities such as the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and Boston University. Meanwhile, in New York and New Jersey, the delegation interacted with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, among others. These engagements were crucial in exchanging insights on emerging threats and innovation strategies [2][3].
Future Collaboration Prospects
The mission not only strengthened existing partnerships but also set the stage for future collaborative projects between the Dutch and U.S. cybersecurity ecosystems. Discussions on ongoing collaborative projects were initiated, with specific initiatives expected to be announced in early 2026. These efforts aim to enhance mutual defenses and foster a cooperative environment for cybersecurity advancements, ultimately benefiting both nations in their fight against global cyber threats [3][4].
