FPT Software and PMI Join Forces to Boost IT Talent Development

FPT Software and the Project Management Institute (PMI) have signed a strategic partnership to address the growing demand for skilled IT professionals. The collaboration aims to enhance talent development and foster innovation in the technology sector, with FPT Software targeting 2,600 PMI certifications over three years.

The newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FPT Software and PMI focuses on bridging the skill gaps in the technology sector by implementing a comprehensive career-long learning and development framework. This partnership is expected to benefit both organizations by enhancing their respective capabilities and contributing to the global tech industry’s growth. The collaboration will leverage PMI’s expertise in project management to ensure that FPT Software’s training programs are aligned with the latest standards and best practices.
A Comprehensive Learning Framework
Under the terms of the MoU, PMI will assist FPT Software in creating a robust learning framework that spans the entire career lifecycle of its employees. This includes the application of the most current project management principles and standards to guarantee the quality control of FPT Software’s internal training programs. The aim is to equip FPT Software’s workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the evolving demands of the tech industry.
Commitment to Certifications
As part of the partnership, FPT Software plans to achieve a significant number of PMI certifications. In 2024 alone, the company aims to secure 555 certifications for its project managers, including 500 Project Management Professional (PMP) certificates, 50 Program Management Professional (PgMP) certificates, and 5 Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certificates. Over the next three years, the target is to obtain a total of 2,600 PMI certifications. This ambitious goal underscores FPT Software’s commitment to fostering a highly skilled workforce.
