Dutch Innovations to Shine at MEDICA 2025 in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf, Monday, 4 August 2025.
The NL Health~Holland Pavilion will spotlight Dutch SMEs in life sciences and health, fostering international visibility and partnerships, attracting stakeholders from over 170 nations at MEDICA 2025.
Key Innovations and Companies
Among the Dutch innovations set to be unveiled at MEDICA 2025, one standout is Loop Biotech’s eco-friendly mycelium coffin. This biodegradable coffin is crafted from fungus-based materials, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional coffins laden with chemicals. The mycelium coffin does not leave behind harmful residues, aligning with global sustainability initiatives [1].
Driving International Collaboration
The Health~Holland Pavilion at MEDICA 2025 seeks to enhance global collaboration by connecting Dutch startups and SMEs with over 80,000 decision-makers from more than 170 countries. This strategic gathering will be held at Messe Düsseldorf from November 17-20, 2025. A variety of industries will be represented, including medical device manufacturers and diagnostic companies [2][3].
Support and Opportunities for Dutch SMEs
To support participation, Health~Holland plans to distribute €1,000 vouchers to participating Dutch SMEs. These vouchers aim to subsidize the media coverage costs associated with the event. Furthermore, SMEs can apply for the Support International Business subsidy from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), which can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a cap of €2,500 [4]. Such initiatives underscore the event’s role in bolstering the international visibility of the Dutch Life Sciences & Health sector.
